Airpes, as a lifting, handling and weighing specialist, designed a taylor made solution modifying a nacelle lifting beam for the wind sector.
It was a very difficult situation, because the last lifting beam could not align the nacelle to the tower. Airpes designed, manufactured, tested and installed a whole new hydraulic system that allowed the beam to move ± 3º in the horizontal axis. And then, the nacelle could be aligned to the tower safely and efficiently.
After testing this system in France a worldwide introduction of the system was made with great success.
