Airpes on demand solution for lifting beams in the wind sector
One of Airpes’ biggest challenges in the wind sector was the handling and transport of nacelles in WTG Towers. This is one of our on demand solutions we designed and manufactured for a company in the wind sector. The installation of the nacelles in the towers was extremely difficult but in the end, a success.
The client had difficulty aligning the nacelle to the tower using the current lifting beam, and that’s when Airpes entered into the project. We took the current lifting beam designed to move the nacelle and modified it by creating a hydraulic system that allows to move ± 3º the horizontal axis.
This tailored solution was a success, and after its testing in France, it was introduced worldwide.
