Handling & weighing on demand solution: a rotator
Today we want to show you one of Airpes’ on demand solutions that include a rotator and nacelles. A project in which we designed, manufactured and installed the rotator, while handling and elevating the nacelles.
The rotator, an on demand solution for the wind sector
A brazilian company that manufactures wind turbine towers contacted us to provide with a solution to their need. They needed a rotator up to 21,5t in conformance with OSHA and UL standards.
What made this project so delicate was the very difficult handling of the nacelles during the process. With that in mind, the well been of the workers as the operation was completely safe. Along with the rotator, we also included a system to deliver and handle oversized components.
The results were very clear: after installing the rotator, process efficiency increased more than 50%, and now working under all the safety requirements needed.
